Edward Plute, a resident of Ketchikan, Alaska, passed away while visiting his sister, Katie Pyykkonen in Lake Linden, Michigan on October 20, 2025.
Edward was born in Calumet, Michigan on October 22, 1957. He lived in Ketchikan for 25 years. He travelled all around the country. He was an adventurous spirit and born to be free. He loved to be on his sailboat; and he loved to watch the birds. He was a good, kind, generous man. We shall miss him very much.
He was preceded in death by: parents-Alberta (Baril) Plute and Leo Plute, grandparents-Marian (Beauchamp), Katherine (Strucel), and John Plute, brothers-Jerry Plute and Albert Plute, and his beloved dog-Cody.
Edward is survived by: sisters-Theresa (Plute) Randy Rothenberger and daughter-Kelly of Racine, WI and Katie (Plute) Bruce Pyykkonen of Lake Linden, MI; special friends-Walker, Katie, Hans, Johansen; and many cousins.

There will be no funeral service. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
He will now be on a new journey…
