MDOT will start US-41 resurfacing work in Hancock and L’Anse on Monday

MDOT will begin resurfacing work on US –41 in Baraga and Houghton County on Monday.

Starting next week MDOT crews will mill and resurface US-41 in L’Anse north of Mead Road/Maki Road, near the Baraga County Memorial Hospital.

The second section of US- 41 MDOT will resurface will stretch from the us-41 m-203 intersection in Hancock to reservation street. Both work zones will place temporary lane closures to shift traffic.

Work will take place between 7 pm and 7am between September 22nd and 26th. Motorists can expect some traffic delays and will see flags in place to control the flow. The project estimates to invest 250,000 dollars in road repairs.
