The Keweenaw community Foundation earns a 2025 Civic Hub grant from the Trust for Civic Life.
The national Grantmaker supports primarily rural communities. The program KCF will join includes a three-year funding opportunity that will support the foundation’s work to bring people and organizations together to build relationships and develop solutions to community identified needs. Keweenaw community foundation executive director robin Meneguzzo says the three-year grant opportunity to strengthen KCF’s role as a bridge in the community, connecting people and organizations to identify, prioritize, and address needs in the Copper Country. KCF board president Kim Salmi adds it is an honor to gain recognition from the Trust for Civic Life, supporting local initiatives, and residents.
The program’s grants total 8 million dollars, with individual grants ranging from 150,000 to 500000 dollars. This year the trust award grants 26 out of 440 applicants from across the country.
