Christian Brouwer, age 29, a resident of Calumet, Michigan passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin after a lengthy health battle.
With deep sorrow yet steadfast hope in Christ, we share that Christian James Brouwer entered his eternal home on September 6, 2025 at the age of 29, after courageously battling leiomyosarcoma.
Born on January 14, 1996 in Howell, Michigan, Christian was the beloved son of Jennifer (O’Kelley) Brouwer and Bryan Brouwer. He grew up having a love and curiosity of the natural world which he went on to share with his son, Jamie.
Christian married Lydia Vondoloski on July 28, 2018, and together they built a loving home in Oregon for several years. A devoted father to his son, Jamie, Christian cherished every moment spent reading bug books, gaming side by side, and laughing together.
Known for his quick wit – a mix of dad jokes and dark humor – Christian brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him. He also adored animals and took great comfort in his dog Kimchi.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Vondoloski; his son, Jameson Vonbrouwer; his parents, Bryan and Jenni Brouwer; his brother, Alex (Erin) Brouwer; and his grandfather, James O’Kelley.
A devoted husband, father, and friend, Christian will always be remembered for his love of familiy, his humor, and his strenth and perserverance in adversity.
He will be dearly missed and forever loved.
“You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows” – Psalm 23:5
