Michigan Technological University welcomes more than 1600 new students to campus this fall. The University recently announced the 2025 fall semester’s enrollment numbers, sharing the addition of new students will bring the college campus’ population to more than 7400 students. The university largest enrollment since the early 1980’s. MTU additional touts the new class as one of the hardest working to walk onto campus, carrying an average GPA of 3.86 out of high school, and the highest average GPA for an incoming class in the university’s history. Enrollment at Michigan Technological university continues to defy national trends, as the university sees a six percent increase from last year and achieves a retention rate near 88 percent.
