For 20 years Omega House has provided exceptional care for people at the end of their life. The facility works hard to make sure families, residents, and staff can connect at a critical moment in a family’s time together. Executive Director Mike Lutz says during the past twenty years Omega House has welcomed many into their home, working with families to make sure care is affordable, and one less thing to stress over.
You know, there’s a lot of changes that take place with their loved one, their family member, and we want to make sure that they fully understand what is about to come. And we kind of, share the story of the process of end of life. But we support them even afterwards through, checking in with them. We offer grief support. In fact, we’re this weekend unveiling our new walking trail that came out of our grief committee. – Mike Lutz, Executive Director, Omega House
Omega House recently installed a new walking trail for families and residents. The quarter mile trail weaves throughout the adjacent 3 acres Omega House owns. Lutz says the trail opens near the bluffs and overlooks the city and college campus. The trail opening coincided with an open house celebration that welcomed the community to the facility to meet residents, staff and board members.
