Judith “Judy” Arlene Roepke of Calumet, Michigan passed away on August 27, 2025 at Omega House in Houghton, Michigan.

Judy was born on June 15, 1944 in Laurium, Michigan to parents Leonard and Ellen (Lassila) Hill. After high school Judy went to Chicago and graduated from Augustana Nursery in 1963. She then went to Northern Michigan University and graduated in 1968 from the LPN Program. She went on to have several roles in nursing over the course of her life including, working as an LPN in the ICU for 20 years, an intake coordinator with in-home nursing for 5 years, and the Manager of Assisted Living for 8 years prior to her retirement.
Judy was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Roepke in 1963.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Ellen Hill, her husband Dick, sisters Beverly (Eli) Frantti and Linda Luoma, brother Gregory (Sharon) Hill, and sister-in-law Anni Hill.
She is survived by brothers Leonard (Laura) Hill, Gordon (Ruth) Hill, John Hill, and Roland Hill, and brother-in-law David Luoma.
A funeral service for Judith will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 12:00pm at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Calumet, Michigan. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the church. Burial will take place in Section 76 at Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
