Fishing
The DNR will hold a meeting today to discuss the 10-year fishing restriction on the Pilgrim River. Daily catches of brook trout on the river have been limited to one fish of at least 20 inches, while the DNR studied whether such restrictions can lead to increased fish size. Sportsmen who fish the Pilgrim River are invited to share their thoughts and experiences with the DNR, as a decision will need to be made about whether to continue or discontinue the current restriction. The session will be held this afternoon at 4 at the Franklin Township Hall on Quincy Hill.
