On the final night of the regular Copper Country Twilight Baseball League season last night…

The league tournament begins Tuesday, with a play-in game between Northern Driveline and REL-Mohawk Technology.

The Tigers fell behind early, and dropped a 6-3 decision to the Twins last night. Chris Paddack gave up three runs in the first inning, and another in the fourth, before leaving the game. Rafael Montero surrendered two more runs in the fifth. The Tigers got one back on a Kerry Carpenter double in the third. Jamai Jones tripled home two runs in the eighth.
The Tigers conclude that home set against the Twins this afternoon. Jack Flaherty will pitch against Joe Ryan. Coverage will begin at 12:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
Detroit second baseman Gleyber Torres was scratched from last night’s lineup because of left forearm tightness. He’s considered day-to-day.
The Brewers stretched their winning streak to five games, with a 7-2 victory over the Braves. Freddy Peralta gave up a run over five innings. He struck out seven. Isaac Collins continued his hot streak, with two hits and two RBI.
The Brewers visit the Braves again tonight. Jose Quintana will pitch against Spencer Strider.
Milwaukee has the best record in baseball, after going 44-16 in their last 60 games. It’s the best 60-game stretch in team history.
Shelby Miller could be back with the Brewers soon. He struck out the side in a rehab inning with Nashville last night. He’s recovering from a right forearm strain.
NFL
Former Lions back-up quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is, indeed, returning to the NFL – but it won’t be with Detroit. Bridgewater has signed with the Buccaneers, as a potential back-up to Baker Mayfield.
