Margie Andrews, 81, of Ripley, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 22, 2025 at Garden View in Calumet.
She was born on October 10, 1943 in Hancock, a daughter of the late John and Mamie (Jurvelin) Seppala. She graduated from Hancock High School in 1962 and was a devoted mother and wife during her lifetime although she was employed at the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Houghton for a time. She lived much of her life in Ripley.
On May 7, 1966 she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Andrews of Hancock. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2024.
Family time was very important to her, especially holiday meals and visits. She enjoyed her large doll collection, watching Detroit Lions, NASCAR races, shopping, and tending to her houseplants.
Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen Paul Andrews, a son Robert “Bobbie” Andrews, and sisters Kathy Seppala, Betty Voldarski, Helene Kainulainen, and Mary Burgan.
She is survived by two sisters, Alice Kolka of Chassell and Sandra Kilpela of Painesdale; a special niece Angela Kilpela; and many other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery section 4 in Hancock at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, August 8, 2025 with Father John Martignon to officiate.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the Ripley Volunteer Fire Department or to Saint Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital
