MDOT will begin a bridge project in Keweenaw County next week.
On Monday, the Michigan Department of Transportation will begin work on a $350,000 project to repair the M-26 bridge over the Eagle River. The project will include removing asphalt and placing new waterproofing in the area, as well as a new asphalt replacement.
MDOT expects work to begin on July 21st and end by August 8th, weather permitting.
Travelers on M-26 in Keweenaw County will come across single lane traffic with the use of temporary signals.
The project ensures the continued reliable use of the bridge over the Eagle River.
