In 2025 Breakwater Federal Credit Union has made improving financial literacy a priority. Over the past several months the credit union has worked with partners at trio and organized fun events to introduce children to finances at an early age. Marketing manager Kayleigh White says the topic is not talked about much, which makes financial education an increasingly important conversation.
Well, it’s kind of one of those topics that don’t always get touched on in school. And these are opportunities for us to try to create a community that is a little more financially well, and financially healthy. It’s something that we want to do more of. We encourage people to reach out, if they want to collaborate with us on any sort of event. The libraries, the schools, we’d be happy to work with you. – Kayleigh White, marketing and communications manager, Breakwater Federal Credit Union
Tomorrow afternoon break water federal credit union will take a break from the classroom, and invite the community to its annual member picnic. While at the picnic families can play games, and enjoy a Vollworths hot dog, and kids can even win prizes.
