Robert Roy Jutila, 84, of Traprock, passed away at Canal View in Hancock on June 17, 2025.
Robert was born December 18, 1940, in Jacobsville, a son of Warner and Florence (Karvakko) Jutila. He attended schools in Jacobsville and graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell in 1959.

He served in the US Army-Reserves and he served in Vietnam from 1968-1969.
Robert worked in the family strawberry farm in Jacobsville, C&H Foundry, Copper Country Dairy, Ontonagon Shipyard as a welder, and for Steve Klobucarich at Jilbert Dairy. He started his own logging company, Robert Jutila Logging, which he owned and operated until his retirement when he was 73. He was a hard worker, and a man of integrity, honesty, and dedication.
He enjoyed fishing at Stannard Rock, deer hunting, and gardening. He also grew pumpkins and strawberries and made firewood to sell to the community.
He was married to Donna Pechawer, at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Calumet on July 22, 1967.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-Werner “Eppi,” and Ronald, a sister-Agnes “Aggie” Montle.
He is survived by: his wife-Donna of Traprock; 2 children-Todd of Traprock and Nickole (Rick Dessellier) Jutila of Lake Linden; 2 grandchildren-Brittany (Corey) of Suamico, WI and Zackery Jutila of Marquette; 2 great-grandsons-Carter and Cade, he truly enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and visits from the great-grandsons. He is also survived by-sister-in-law-Donna Jutila and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The graveside service with military rites will be conducted by the Copper Country Veterans at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Jacobsville Cemetery. As requested by Robert, there will be no public visitation. The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.
