A Chassell High School graduate has received a scholarship from the Houghton-Keweenaw County 4-H Program.
Lily Etelamaki is a 13-year 4-H veteran, and has been active in the Trap Rock Club.
Houghton-Keweenaw County 4-H Program Coordinator Anne Kretschmann describes Etelamaki as a quiet, confident leader who has mentored younger students, and coordinated a wide variety of community service programs.
The annual $500 competitive scholarship is awarded to a High School Senior who has been involved in 4-H for a minimum of 3 years and lives in Houghton or Keweenaw Counties.
It can be applied to several educational and career paths, including college, trade school, or apprenticing.
