Calumet State Police Post Welcomes Copper Country Native

A Copper Country native is one of two new Michigan State Police troopers who has been assigned to the Calumet Post.

Simon Pyykkonen from Pelkie was among the 50 officers who recently graduated from the 148th Trooper Recruit School.

He’ll be joined at the Calumet Post by new Trooper Nick Cosellian, who hails from the downstate community of Howell.
