MLB
Keider Montero tossed five shutout innings, as the Tigers stopped the Giants 3-1 yesterday. Riley Greene’s two-run single in the bottom of the fifth provided the winning margin.
The Tigers host the Giants again tonight. Jack Flaherty will start against Logan Webb. Coverage will begin at 6:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
Javier Báez was thrown out of yesterday’s game after getting into a heated argument with umpire Phil Cuzzi, after Cuzzi called a third strike on a full count. Replays showed the pitch should have been called a ball.
Jackson Chourio homered on the first pitch thrown by Boston ace Garrett Crochet, and the Brewers held off the Red Sox 3-2 yesterday.
The Brewers host the Red Sox again this evening. Aaron Civale will pitch against Cooper Criswell.
Starting pitcher DL Hall is back with the Brewers, after missing the start of the season with a lat strain. Logan Henderson has been send down to Nashville to make room.
NBA
The Thunder held off the Timberwolves 128-126 last night. Oklahoma City leads the Western Conference final 3-1.
The Knicks visit the Pacers tonight. Indiana holds a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference final.
NHL
The Hurricanes blanked the Panthers 3-0 yesterday. Florida leads the Eastern Conference final 3-1.
The Stars visit the Oilers tonight. Edmonton leads the Western Conference final 2-1.
