The votes are in. And Copper Country has spoken. After launching the tourism bureau’s inaugural Keweenaw Voter’s Choice Awards, Visit Keweenaw has announced the best spots for day trips, a bite to eat or a beverage to drink, and more in the region. The voter’s choice awards asked residents to contribute and offer their thoughts on the best places to soak up the sun this summer. The 2025 Keweenaw Voter’s Choice awards include a couple of winners who take home titles in multiple categories.
Fitzgerald Restaurant in Eagle Harbor has the best Dinner Spot and place to order a cocktail. The Quincy Mine Hoist earns the best historical immersion and guided experience. Other sweet spots this summer include the Jampot Bakery earned sweet spot, or the Keweenaw Coffee Works for a cup of joe. On a rainy day, the community suggests taking a tour of the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum on Michigan Tech’s campus. And when the clouds move out and the skies open up take a scenic drive up M-26 from Eagle River to Copper Harbor.
