
The United States Coast Guard rescues four people aboard a sinking vessel north of Grand Marias on Friday.
During a routine patrol, a team was dispatched to a report of a sinking vessel north of Grand Marias. The rescue retrieved four people aboard the Coast Guard’s 45-foot response boat and an National Park Service arrowhead boat. An MH-60 Jayhawk Helicopter from Traverse City was dispatched to the scene for assistance.
The distressed vessel was towed back to port. No injuries were reported by the United States Coast Guard.
