L’Anse residents will soon be paying more for electricity and trash collection..

Trash collection rates will rise from $16 to $18 per month. LaFave said increased fuel charges from Waste Management forced the move.
The L’Anse village clean-up will take place next week. From Monday through Friday, residents can deliver trash to the public works garage on Poplar Street. The cost is $20 per pick-up load, which must be paid at the village hall ahead of time.
The next village council meeting has been moved to Tuesday, May 27th, because of the Memorial Day holiday.
