Michigan Department of Transportation crews will begin work to resurface M 26 in Ontonagon County next week.
On Monday work will begin to resurface a 5.5-mile stretch of m 26 from us 45 to m 38 in Ontonagon County. The work will include asphalt milling, culvert wing wall replacement, guardrail placement, and other road infrastructure.
The project represents a 6.5 million dollar investment in road repair and infrastructure work.
While work takes place from May to October crews will alternate traffic with temporary signals in place while drainage work occurs. MDOT expects work will finish around mid-October.
