Mdot will begin work to pave a new carpool lot in Marquette County. Crews will start work tomorrow on US 41 southeast of Lake Street in Marquette to create a new carpool lot. Work includes asphalt paving, signs, and markings. By the end of construction season, says Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan will replace more than 24,000 miles of roads, and maintain 1900 bridges. In 2025 the state will invest 3.9 billion dollars into road infrastructure, a part of MDOT’s five-year transportation program. The carpool lot project will be finished by the end of May.
