On Thursday the Michigan Tech Sustainability Film Series will screen the documentary, Common Ground. The film offers a compelling look at innovations in agriculture and the crucial need to create more efficient and sustainable growing processes.
The film follows up with Directors Josh and Rebecca Tickell’s film Kiss the Ground. Woody Harrelson returns in Common Ground and is joined by several other celebrities to open the film. As the documentary progresses the audience is introduced to agricultural and sustainability experts who explore challenges in the world’s food system.
The Sustainability Film Series at Michigan Technological University has brought a variety of interesting and immersive films to campus over fifteen years. Thursday’s film screening will begin at 7 pm inside Fisher Hall. Organizers do ask attendees to consider donating five dollars to support the series and films brought to campus.
