First responders need support to save lives in any emergency.
Copper Shore Community Health Foundation recently announced it will begin accepting requests for proposals for its 2025 Volunteer Emergency Services Grant program. The foundation plans to distribute 50,000 dollars across the region, with awards providing up to a 5,000 dollar grant to an organization.
Copper Shores strives to improve the health and well-being of the Copper Country’s communities. The foundation accomplishes that mission through a variety of grants, programs, and services.
The Volunteer Emergency Services Grant is open to first responder organizations such as fire departments, police and sheriff departments, EMS responders, and search and rescue teams operating in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties. Previous awards have helped first responders organize training opportunities and maintain emergency equipment and personal protection gear.
The Copper Shores Community Health Foundation will accept requests for proposals from first responders and emergency services groups until May 9th.
