Rosalie Ann Treadeau, 83, a resident of Dollar Bay, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, April 13, 2025, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on December 17, 1941, in Marquette, MI, a daughter of the late Bernard and Joan (Matte) Coughlin. Rosalie was raised in Marquette and was a graduate of Graveraet High School with the class of 1959.
In 1960, Rosie married James Tourtillott and they had three children.
On December 14, 1974, she was united in marriage to Donald Treadeau. They had one daughter together. Don built Rosie her “Castle” as they called it. She loved to take care of her home and enjoyed working on her flower gardens.
Rosalie had worked managing the bakery at Central Foods and also Jim’s Food Mart before becoming a stay at home mother raising her children. Rosie enjoyed playing shortstop in softball for many years and also bowled locally in the Women’s and mixed double bowling leagues for many years. Rose enjoyed traveling on many adventures with friends to most of the continental United States, except Hawaii. The most important part of Rose’s life was her family.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, Christina Louise Tourtillott, her granddaughter, Casey Lyn Tourtillott; her parents, and her brother Bill “Boney” Coughlin.

Her special friend & cousin: Irene Place
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
As Rosie requested, no public service will be held and burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery later this year.
