Many non-profits in the Copper Country have passionate leaders. These teams work throughout the region and across a variety of fields to support the community’s health, recreation, places, animals, and people. Tonight the Keweenaw Community Foundation continues its series of Nonprofit Education and Networking presentations. During this evening session non-profit directors, staff, volunteers, and members will join a conversation with fundraising and philanthropic consultant Mike Goorhouse. He plans to share his 15 lessons learned about engaging with donors, raising money to support non-profit operations, and helping people find a passion for fundraising. It’s not easy to ask people for things. But with passionate persistence, non-profits connect with passionate donors. Registration is not required for the KCF Non-profit Education and Networking series, and the presentation tonight is free. Individuals interested in attending the sessions on philanthropic fundraising with Mike Goorhouse will meet inside the Michigan Tech Lakeshore Center at 4;30 pm.
