In April Breakwater Federal Credit Union will hold its 71 annual business meeting. The credit union invites members to join the board of directors at the Memorial Union Ballroom at Michigan Technological University. While enjoying dinner members will vote to fill three open board seats. Incumbent members Cindy Corwell and Mark Korkko will run for additional terms.
During the annual business meeting Breakwater Federal Credit Union plans to award an annual educational scholarship to graduating seniors in the Copper Country. The scholarship will award 1000 dollars to three seniors on track to attend college this fall.
In addition to awarding annual scholarship funds the credit union will announce a donation worth 2500 dollars. Breakwater Federal Credit Union will award funds to an organization providing care in Baraga Houghton Keweenaw counties. The 71st annual business meeting is free to attend for credit union members.
Doors will open at 530 pm on April 12th. Break water does ask members to rsvp if planning to attend the annual business meeting by April 2nd, call 906-482-5005.
