ATV trails in the summer. April 1st will officially open the ORV and trail season in Michigan. The Keweenaw and Upper Peninsula’s trails clubs will ask riders to avoid traveling on trails until the ground dries out. The Department of Natural Resources will encourage residents to register ATVs, side-by-side, and ORV vehicles for the 2025 season. Trail permits are valid for one year starting April 1st, 2025. While waiting for trails to dry out this spring join the Keweenaw ATV club on the first Monday of April to learn more about trail maintenance plans, projects, volunteer opportunities, and meet other ORV enthusiasts. The April Keweenaw ATV monthly meeting will also have trail adoption information for the new season. Perspective Keweenaw ATV members will join the club at the Hubbell VFW hall on April 7th at 7 pm to learn more about the club and the 2025 season.
