If you’re planning to fish this year, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources says 2025 fishing license is now available.
While the 2025 license isn’t required until April 1, you can purchase now and it works for the month of March.
The DNR says fishing licenses support the management of our state’s fisheries in multiple ways, like fish stocking and habitat improvement and restoration efforts.
If you would like to get your fishing license, you can do so at a partnering retail location, online at www.Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses or through the Michigan DNR Hunt Fish app.
The 2025 license is good from March 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026.
