At the start of the year, the Hancock Community Hub committed to opening the former Hancock High School in downtown Hancock to the community. While plans to rejuvenate the building’s theater, gym and rooms continue, Right Start UP will begin organizing events at the space. One of the Hancock Community Hubs’ first (re)introduction to the community will come next month.
At the start of April, the HCH will host Aloha! Spring Family Dance. The free event invites families and friends of all ages to enjoy some dancing, fun competitions, kids activities, dessert, and refreshments. The Hawaiian theme for the dance hopes to warm up the region after a long cold winter, with music laughter, and fun.
HCH Event Committee Co-Chair Sarah Melin says the organization looks forward to bringing the Copper Country together with this event and more fun in the future. Those interested in learning more about the Aloha Spring Family Dance at the Hancock Community Hub on April 4th from 6 to 8 pm.
