In the boys basketball tournament last night…

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference basketball playoffs begin tonight…
- The Michigan Tech men’s team is the top seed, and will host Roosevelt University at 6:00.
- The Michigan Tech women’s team is seeded eighth, and will open at top-seeded Grand Valley State.
- The Northern Michigan University men’s team is seeded fourth, and will host fifth-seed Grand Valley at 7:30.
- The Northern Michigan women’s team is seeded second, and entertains seventh-seed Saginaw Valley State at 5:30.
NHL
The Red Wings dropped their third straight game last night, 2-1 to the Hurricanes. Elmer Soderblom netted Detroit’s only goal midway through the third period. Alex Lyon made 28 saves.
The Wings host the Utah Hockey Club tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Pistons have won 10 of their last 11, and visit the Clippers tonight. Coverage will begin at 10:05 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Bucks outscored the Hawks 127-121 last night. Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a triple-double, with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
The Bucks host the Mavericks tonight.
MLB
The Tigers dropped a 4-1 decision to the Rays yesterday. Kenta Maeda pitched into the fourth inning, allowing no runs and striking out five. Former Tiger Alex Faedo earned the win for Tampa Bay.
The Tigers face the Phillies today. Reese Olson will start against Jesús Luzardo.
Milwaukee had yesterday off, and will split their squad for two games against the White Sox today.
