Fire crews respond to a house fire in Carp Lake Township on Sunday. The Ontoangon Volunteer Fire Department was called to assist the Carp Lake Township Fire Department with the structure fire around 3 pm on Sunday. Carp Lake Firefighters found the structure engulfed in flames, including the garage with multiple gas cans. A natural gas line was also on fire upon arrival at the scene. Ontonagon Volunteers located and shut off the natural gas line to the home. Crews initiated a primary search of the structure, and an all-clear was given. Crews were able to snuff out the fire in under 20 minutes. No injuries have been reported. Carp Lake township fire department was assisted by the Ontonagon Fire Department, Sonco North Ambulance, UPPCO, Semco Gas, Michigan DNR, and the Bergland Fire chief
