The western upper peninsula’s road commission departments have announced load weight restrictions starting on Monday March 3rd. Restrictions are subject to change dependant on weather conditions moving forward. Maximum legal axel loads will limit trucks to 65 percent of a normal load. Single axel trucks will have a limit of 23,400 pounds. Single axel tractor trailers with one rear axel have a limit of 35,100 pounds per load. Road limit signs have not been posted.
