Boys high school basketball tournament district semifinals last night…
- Division Four, District 98 – Dollar Bay-Tamarack City outscored Chassell 71-36; Baraga got past L’Anse 55-51. The Blue Bolts and Vikings will play for the title tomorrow at 6 at Baraga.
- Division Four , District 97 – at Ontonagon – Wakefield-Marenisco eliminated Watersmeet 62-51; Ewen-Trout Creek lost to Bessemer 38-30. The Cardinals and Speedboys will play for the title tomorrow at 7:00 at Ontonagon.
- Division Four, District 100 – Forest Park wiped out Stephenson 81-37; Norway dispatched North Central 56-36. The Trojans and Knights will play for the title tomorrow in Crystal Falls.
- Division Three, District 65 – Calumet’s season ended with a 70-42 loss at Westwood. Ishpeming ousted Ironwood 61-40. The Patriots will host the Hematites for the title tomorrow.
- Division Two, District 33 – Houghton’s season closed with a 67-43 loss to Negaunee. Kingsford dispatched Gladstone 75-37. The Miners and Flivvers will play for the title tomorrow in Kingsford.

NBA
The Pistons won their eighth straight game last night, 117-97 over the Celtics. Malik Beasley scored 26. Cade Cunningham had 21 points and 11 assists, and Jalen Duren had 13 points and 11 rebounds.

NHL

MLB
The Tigers lost to the Twins 4-0 yesterday. Tarik Skubal gave up one hit over two scoreless innings in his spring debut, but Detroit collected just two hits.
The Tigers split their squad for games against the Rays and the Red Sox today. Jack Flaherty will start against Quinn Priester in the Boston game. Matt Manning will open against Mike Vasil in the Tampa contest. Coverage of the Red Sox game will begin at 1:00 on 99.3 The Lift.
To the surprise of no one, manager A.J. Hinch announced yesterday that Skubal will be the starter in Detroit’s regular-season opener against the Dodgers a month from today.
Half of the Brewers fell to the Dodgers 9-3 yesterday. Vinny Capra and Garrett Mitchell homered. The other half of the Crew dropped a 7-1 decision to the Diamondbacks.
The Brewers face the Royals this afternoon. Aaron Civale will pitch against Chandler Champlain.
Milwaukee has lost pitcher J.B. Bukauskas for the season. He underwent lat surgery recently, with an anticipated rehab time of nine months.
