Mark A. Waldron, 75, of Chassell, passed away unexpectedly, at his home, on February 23, 2025.
He was born on October 13, 1949, in Niles, Michigan, a son of Earl and Mildred (Heater) Waldron. He graduated from Niles High School and attended Michigan Tech before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. He served in the Air Force for 4 years. He returned to Michigan Tech and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Texas Instruments and U.S. Robotics, and retired in December of 2019.
Mark was married to Christine Peterson of Ripley on June 26, 1971, at Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church.
Mark was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Lutheran Church of Houghton. He loved music and was in a Rock band in the 1960s. Mark’s favorite thing to do was to make people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mark is survived by: his wife-Chris of Chassell; 2 children-Lee (Inez) of Cary, IL and Tracy (Harold) Fisher of Chassell; 1 grandchild-Reece Waldron; a brother-Rick (Sandi) Waldron of Niles, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for close friends and family is planned. The O’Neill-Dennis Funeral Home in Hancock is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Saints Peter and Paul Church or to the Omega House in Houghton.
