College Basketball
The Michigan Tech women’s basketball team suffered a tough 70-67 loss to Ferris State last night. Isabella Lenz scored 22 for the Huskies.
The Tech men’s team upended the 20th-ranked Bulldogs 75-63. Ferris held Marcus Tomashek to just six points, but Adam Hobson came off the bench to score 16 for the Huskies, and Gabe Smith added 14.
Both Tech teams welcome Lake Superior State tomorrow – the women at noon, and the men at 2:00. Whichever team wins the men’s game will take over sole possession of first place in the GLIAC.
The Northern Michigan women’s team cruised past Lake Superior State 67-44. Sydney Whitehouse scored 17.
The Wildcats men’s team dropped an 80-74 overtime decision to the 15th-ranked Lakers. Dylan Kuehl scored 25.
Both Northern teams entertain Ferris State tomorrow.
College Hockey
The MTU hockey team skates at Augustana tonight and tomorrow.
Northern’s hockey team has the weekend off.
College Skiing
The Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan Nordic ski teams will be among those competing at the CCSA championships at the Tech Trails this weekend.

The Portage Lake Pioneers entertain the Sun Prairie Killer Bees tonight, and the Eagle River Falcons tomorrow. Both games begin at 7:30 at Dee Stadium.
The Calumet Wolverines host the Killer Bees tomorrow at 7:30 at the Colosseum.

The Red Wings are off until February 22nd, as the NHL continues its pause to allow players to compete in the 4 Nations Face-Off.
