The Rights Start UP commits to giving Tuesday donations to infrastructure projects upgrading the Hancock Community Hub. Right Start UP recently announced it has decided where it will start work inside the Hancock Community Hub to improve the space and make essential upgrades to welcome the copper country.
In 2024 Right Start UP purchased the Hirvonen Hall out of Receivership following Finlandia Univeristy’s closing in 2023. During the past several months the board of directors has listed out several improvements Right Start UP will want to make to upgrade the HCH. Last November, as a beneficiary of the Copper Shores Giving Tuesday campaign, Right Start UP was awarded close to 21,000 dollars and has brought the non-profit improvement fund to a little under 26,000 dollars.
In 2025 Right Start UP will commit portions of the funds toward projects that will replace the stage floor and enhance theater space for performances. Such as upgrading the sound and lighting systems that will enhance show production quality. Right Start will also install a projector and theatrical blinds to create a more immersive experience during shows. The Hub Theater projects are an effort to make the Hancock Community Hub a center for community activity, focused on businesses, nonprofits, and events.
