College Basketball

Both Michigan Tech basketball teams entertain Ferris State tonight – the women at 5:30, and the men at 7:30.

Both Northern Michigan teams host Lake Superior State this evening.

NHL

The Red Wings are off until February 22nd, as the NHL continues its pause to allow players to compete in the 4 Nations Face-Off.

NBA

The Pistons completed a back-to-back sweep of the Bulls with a 128-110 victory last night. Cade Cunningham scored 29 points. Jalen Duren had 16 points and 14 rebounds.

The Pistons visit the Spurs tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 8:05 on 99.3 The Lift.

MLB

The Tigers added some depth to their relief corps yesterday by signing veteran John Brebbia. It’s a one-year deal worth $2.25 million, with a club option for the 2026 season. Brebbia split time between the White Sox and Braves last season.

Third baseman Alex Bregman will not be joining the Tigers. Detroit had been one of several teams wooing the former Astros free agent. Reports now say he’s agreed to a three-year, $120 million deal with the Red Sox.
