Freshman representative Karl Bohnak has been appointed the Vice Chair of the House Economic Competitiveness Committee.
109th District Representative in the Michigan House of Representatives, Karl Bohnak was appointed to the Vice Chair position of the House Committee on Economic Competitiveness. He has also been appointed to serve on the Natural Resources and Tourism Committee, Health Policy Committee, and Transportation and Infrastructure Committees. Bohnak says he’s grateful to serve on these key committees and ensure Upper Peninsula communities are represented in conversations about the economy, natural resources, healthcare, and local infrastructure.
Before being elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November Bohnak worked as a media personality in one of the country’s smallest television markets. He adds he looks forward to diving into policy to grow economic opportunities for communities across Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
