In boys basketball last evening..
- Houghton fell to Ishpeming 83-77.
- Calumet dispatched Ontonagon 61-29. The Copper Kings led by just one point midway through the third quarter, but outscored the Gladiators 43-10 over the final 12 minutes. Trent Halonen paced the Kings with 15 points, and Kent Koskela added 10. Jack Nelson scored eight for Ontonagon.
- Ewen-Trout Creek got past Dollar Bay-Tamarack City 63-56 in overtime.
- Lake Linden-Hubbell downed Baraga at 53-29.
- Forest Park thumped Stephenson 68-29.
- The Jeffers game at Bessemer was postponed – no make-up date has been announced.
- The Watersmeet game at Chassell was postponed – no make-up date has been announced.
In girls play last evening…
- Jeffers crunched Bessemer 61-18. Mia Nordstrom had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Jets, and Taylor Heinonen added 19 points and 7 rebounds.
- Ewen-Trout Creek crunched Dollar Bay-Tamarack City 53-13.
- Baraga upended Lake Linden-Hubbell 49-46.
