Michigan Technological University’s Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department names a new chairperson.
Distinguished professor Jason Blough was recently named the new chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He has served the department since 2022 filling the chair’s responsibilities while the college conducted its search. In 2021 Blough was named a distinguished professor.
An alumni of the university Blough earned both his bachelor of science and master of science degrees at Michigan Tech. He then went on to earn his doctoral degree from the University of Cincinnati. Throughout his career, Blough has earned several prestigious honors and awards including the SAE Ralph R Teetor Educational Award, and the Blue Ribbon Coalition of Scientists award in 2006.
