The Copper Country’s busiest weekend will return to Houghton and Hancock sooner than snow melts. June might be a few months away, but Bridgefest weekend will bring thousands of people to the two towns connected by the Portage Lake Lift Bridge.
Last year’s event saw the highest attendance, revenue, and participation over the four-day Copper Country weekend.
Bridgefest offers plenty of fun for the region’s residents and families planning special trips. But the festivities take a lot of organizations to collaborate to make the festival a premiere event of the summer in the Upper Peninsula. Leading the way in 2025, the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation will become the Bridgefest presenting sponsor.
Preparations are in full swing says Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce manager Katie Schlief, and the Bridgefest committee is excited to work with Copper Shores and festivals other sponsors to create an event all will look forward to returning to.
Director of Communications and Donor Relations at Copper Shores, Michael Babcock adds the foundation is excited to become a major sponsor and looks forward to seeing families enjoying a beautiful summer weekend.
With additional sponsors for Bridgfest Copper Shores will bring to the Keweenaw delicious food, great vendors, the Bridgefest parade, live entertainment, fun activities, and exciting contests.
