MLB – Tigers Clobbered, Brewers Win
The Kansas City Royals ripped Randy Wolf for eight runs, and blasted the Detroit Tigers 12-1 last night. Wolf gave up eight hits, including two home runs, before leaving with two out in the fourth inning. Guido Knudsen replaced him, and immediately gave up a three-run homer. He surrendered another home run as the Royals added three more runs in the fifth inning. Full details are here.
The Tigers wrap up that series at Kansas City tonight. Matt Boyd will start against Edinson Volquez. Hear the first pitch at 8:10 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-4 last night. The Crew jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but former teammate Aramis Ramirez tied the game in the top of the third inning with a three-run homer off first-time Milwaukee starter Zach Davies. The Brewers responded with two runs in the bottom of the fourth, and were never headed after that. Full details are here.

MTU Football Opens Tonight
The Michigan Tech football team opens its season against Wayne State tonight. After reaching the NCAA Division II playoffs last season, the Huskies are picked to finish fourth in the GLIAC North Division. Kickoff is at 6:00 at Sherman Field.
NFL – Lions, Packers Wrap Preseason Tonight
The Detroit Lions play their final exhibition game tonight at home against the Buffalo Bills.
The Green Bay Packers wrap up their preseason schedule by hosting the New Orleans Saints this evening.
