College Basketball

The Finlandia men’s basketball team entertains Wisconsin-Superior this afternoon at 4:00 at the Paavo Nurmi Center. Coverage will begin at 3:40 on the Voice of the Lions, 99.3 The Lift.

College Football

Michael Donnelly is returning to the Michigan Tech football coaching staff as defensive backs and passing game coordinator. Donnelly spent three seasons as a graduate assistant working with the Tech defense from 2015 to 2018. He rejoins the staff after serving as defensive coordinator Muskingum University in Ohio.

NHL

The Red Wings couldn’t climb out of an early hole, and lost 6-3 to the Avalanche yesterday. Andrew Copp, Ben Chiarot and David Perron scored for Detroit. Ville Husso gave up five goals over the first two periods, and was replaced by Magnus Hellberg.

The Wings visit the Coyotes tonight. Coverage will begin at 8:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

No other team claimed Detroit goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic on waivers, so he remains with the organization. He will be assigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

NBA

The Pistons meet the Bulls in Paris Thursday afternoon. Coverage will begin at 2:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

NFL

The NFL Wild Card Playoff games wrapped up last night. The Cowboys got off to a quick start, and cruised past the Buccaneers 31-14.

Divisional playoff games will be played this coming weekend.
