NBA

The Pistons picked up a rare win last night, downing the Hornets 113-106. Bojan Bogdanovic led the Detroit attack with 34 points. The Pistons played without Cade Cunningham, who was expected to return from his knee injury, but was ultimately held out of the game. Charlotte played without point guard Terry Rozier, who was traded to the Heat Tuesday.

The Pistons welcome the Wizards Saturday afternoon. Coverage will start at 11:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

NFL

The Packers have already begun to make changes, after their playoff loss to the 49ers last weekend. After three seasons, Joe Barry will not return as the team’s defensive coordinator. And, there will be some competition for the kicking job. Green Bay has signed former Georgia kicker Jack Podlesny, who was drafted last year by the Vikings, who released him early on.

With a college football national championship trophy finally on his mantle, Jim Harbaugh didn’t wait long to move on from the University of Michigan. Saying he will “always be a loyal Wolverine,” Harbaugh was introduced yesterday as the new head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.

MLB

The Tigers have added some pitching depth by signing veteran reliever Drew Anderson to a minor-league contract. Anderson had brief call-ups with the Phillies, White Sox and Rangers, before spending the last couple of seasons in Japan.
