The Tigers lost to the Twins 9-3 last night. Minnesota teed off early against Joey Wentz, scoring eight runs on 10 hits over the first three innings. Nick Maton’s three-run homer in the ninth prevented the shutout.

The Tigers have claimed infielder Isan Díaz off waivers from the Giants, and assigned him to Toledo. Tio make room on the 40-man roster, pitcher Zach Logue has been designated for assignment. The Tigers are expected to promote a position player from the Mud Hens when Javier Báez is officially added to the bereavement list. He’s been out because of a death in his family.

The Brewers blasted the Rockies 12-1 last evening. Freddy Peralta gave up a solo home run in the first inning, but that was the only hit Colorado got. Peralta struck out 13 over seven innings. Rookie Sal Frelick homered, drove in four runs, and scored three times. Brice Turang and Tyrone Taylor also homered.
