Guts Frisbee

Two local Guts Frisbee standouts will be inducted into the International Frisbee and USA Guts Hall of Fame this summer. Dennis Walikainen and Dan Thornton played on the legendary Paul’s Bar team in the 1970s. Teammates Gerard Newman and Duane Haralson have already been enshrined in the hall. Walikainen has continued to be a major influence in the sport as a tournament organizer, promoter and historian.

Al Bonopane, Tom Cleworth and Dave Meyer will also be inducted into the hall this summer.

The installation ceremony will take place during the 64th International Frisbee Tournament on July 9th.

The International Frisbee and USA Guts Hall of Fame is located on the second level of the Calumet Colosseum, and can be visited any time the building is open.
