High School

In high school volleyball last night…
• Hancock defeated Lake Linden-Hubbell 3-1 (25 -11, 25 -13, 24 -26, 25 -15). For the Lakes, Abi Codere had eight kills, Payton Goldsworthy had 12 assists, and Ashlyn Steves had 14 digs.
• Jeffers breezed past Watersmeet 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-10). Sara Johnson had 16 assists, Kaeda Rajala had seven kills and Taylor Heinonen had six assists.
• Ontonagon defeated Chassell 3-0 (21-25, 19-25, 11-25). For the Panthers, Kylee Sohlden had six kills, 16 digs and one ace, Dusty Lippold had four kills, 12 digs and one ace, Gracie Moyle had 10 assists, seven digs and one ace. Gaia Benvenuti and Whitney Walitalo each had three aces.
• L’Anse outplayed Bessemer 3-1. Mylee Londo led the Purple Hornets with 11 kills and five aces, Keira Dakota had nine kills, and Elle Kromer had six aces.
• Baraga lost a tough battle to Ironwood 3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-27, 11-15).

NHL

The Red Wings host the Penguins tonight. Coverage will begin at 7:15 on 99.3 The Lift.

MLB

In the National League Championship Series last night, the Phillies smothered the Diamondbacks 10-0. Philadelphia leads that series 2-0, with game three tomorrow in Arizona.

The American League Championship series resumes tonight, as the Rangers host the Astros. Texas leads that series 2-0.
