The Tigers visit the Tampa Bay Rays tonight. Alex Faedo will pitch against Corey Kluber. Coverage will begin at 6:20 on 99.3 The Lift.
Two of Detroit’s ailing outfielders returned to the line-up yesterday, but only briefly. Austin Meadows, who had missed a couple of games because of vertigo caused by an inner ear problem, left before the second inning after symptoms returned. Victor Reyes, who had just returned from the injured list because of a left quad strain, departed in the second inning after suffering a right quad strain. Both are headed to the injured list.
The Milwaukee Brewers fell behind early, then roared back to defeat the Miami Marlins 7-3 yesterday. Brandon Woodruff scuffled, giving up three runs over five innings. The Crew rescued him with four runs in the top of the fifth. Jace Peterson, Kolton Wong and Rowdy Tellez homered. Aaron Ashby tossed four scoreless innings in relief.
The Brewers host the Atlanta Braves tonight. Freddy Peralta will start against Ian Anderson.
Milwaukee shortstop Willy Adames left yesterday’s game with a sprained ankle. He’s considered day-to-day. Reliever Jandel Gustave is probably headed to the injured list. He injured a hamstring in Saturday’s game.
