Tigers Rout Rockies
The Tigers scored at least one run in every inning, and routed the Rockies 11-5 yesterday. Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez and J.D. Martinez homered. Rick Porcello gave up two runs over eight innings to earn his 13th win of the season. Pat McCoy was charged with the final three Colorado runs in the ninth inning.

The Royals lost yesterday, so Detroit’s lead over Kansas City in the American League Central Division is now five games.
Brewers Fall to Cardinals
The Cardinals scored five runs in the second inning, and held off the Brewers 9-7. Kyle Lohse had an off-day, and was charged with nine runs over four innings.
The Brewers conclude that set at Saint Louis this afternoon. Matt Garza will start against John Lackey.
The Pirates won yesterday, so Milwaukee leads the National League Central Division by one-and-a-half games over Pittsburgh, and two over Saint Louis.
