Tigers Rout Indians
The Tigers took a quick early lead, then piled on more runs late in the game to rout the Indians 12-1 yesterday. Miguel Cabrera hit two home runs. Victor Martinez and J.D. Martinez also homered, and Tyler Collins hit his first major league homer. Outfielder Stephen Moya collected his first major league hit in his first at-bat. David Price gave up a run in the first inning, then pitched shutout ball through the seventh to earn the win.
The Tigers continue that series at Cleveland this evening. Kyle Lobstein will start against Carlos Carrasco. Hear the first pitch at 7:05 on FM 99.3 and AM 1400, WCCY.
Kansas City also won, so Detroit remains a half-game behind the Royals in the American League Central Division.
Brewers Lose Sixth Straight
The Brewers lost to the Cubs 4-2 yesterday. Starter Jimmy Nelson gave up three runs over six innings, but was outpitched by former Tiger Jacob Turner.
The Brewers play at Chicago again tonight. Yovani Gallardo will start against Jake Arrieta.
The Brewers have lost six in a row. The Cardinals won yesterday, so Saint Louis now leads Milwaukee by a game in the National League Central Division.

Blast Cancer Golf Outing Set
The Blast Cancer Golf Outing to raise money for the American Cancer Society will be held at Wyandotte Hills on Saturday, September 13th. The cost is $80.00 for a two person team.
